Annnddddddd we are excited to announce our March Athlete of the Month, Amanda Wisher!!! Amanda is a 6am warrior and frequent open gym-goer. She joined our CFNC family about a year ago and has made tremendous gains in her fitness due to her hard work and dedication. Congratulations Amanda!!

Describe your experience at CFNC.
I am blessed to be a part of CFNC.
I have the pleasure of being around a group of people who have drank the same kool-aid that I have 🙂 It doesn’t matter what class time I show up for (#team6amkicksbutt) or if I am last to finish a WOD I still get the same support! We are all one big family and we want to see each other do better every day.
What are your major life goals? 

Besides GAINZ????
Well, I just want to be the best I can at anything I do. I want to live life to the fullest and enjoy the little things. Most of all I just want to wake up to see today (a wise man once told me that you never see tomorrow, because it’s always today).
What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?
My favorite CrossFit moment….thats a hard one. I would have to say every time I get a PR, no matter if it’s on a lift or a string of unbroken reps, it becomes my new favorite moment.
What are your three major CrossFit goals?
My 3 left in the goal wall for now:
1. strict pull up
2. muscle up
3. All lifts over 100lbs.(snatch and clean & jerk are the only ones left).
What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?
I love partner WOD’s they are my favorites 🙂
But, as for individual WOD I really loved MURPH. I was able to finish a workout that consisted of 600 total reps and 2miles of running. I finished in less than an hour without tearing my hands….That was so much fun.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 

In 5 years I see myself as a Master (Oh wait! That’s in less than a year.) I see myself as Mrs. Lovato looking forward to celebrating my 40th Birthday in the best shape of my life! Lastly, I look forward to knowing that I will still be as HAPPY as a Unicorn in a field of Rainbows.

Homemade Honey Mustard
And BACON (thick slices)
On Wheat Ciabatta Bread
Side of Sweet Potato Wedges
Par cooked then pan fried
With salt, cinnamon, and Honey
And now I’m hungry!
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Ice Cream with Pan seared pound cake
Topped with honey & melted peanut butter
What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?
To me the most challenging aspect has been not letting me defeat me. I have days where I get bummed out when I don’t do as well as I felt I could have. But, I then remind myself that I gave it my all. So, I tell myself going into each day that I have to give 100% of what I have.
What advice would you give to anyone just starting CrossFit?
Don’t be afraid!
Don’t feel intimidated!
Don’t quit!
Never say “I Can’t” (unless you like doing burpees)
Most importantly listen to your Coaches!
