Congrats to the February Athlete of the Month: B-Rad Levander

What makes you, you? Well besides being one of the biggest jokesters you’ll meet. I would have to say my family, friends and people that are around me make me who I am.  I grew up in a military family that taught me to keep integrity first, stay true to who you are and also showed me nothing is more important than family and that family doesn’t have to blood related. Live by that code and everything else will fall in place.

Describe your experience at CFNC.
CFNC is an amazing box!! Craig and Cara have a passion for better people’s lives and it shows to and through with the product they produce from the atmosphere, the people, the prestige coaching and camaraderie – everything about it truly is fitness rooted in community.

What are your major life goals?
To one day be the best husband, father, coach and role model I can possibly be!
To complete an “IRON MAN”

What are your 3 major CrossFit goals?
To be able to overhead squat efficiently
Ring HSPUs
To compete in a competition with Kaleigh

What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?
Ring Muscle ups

What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?
Murph is my favorite WOD but anytime I can do a hero workout that honors someone who has been killed fighting for our freedom or in the line of duty

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Married to my Love Kaleigh
Still a member of the CFNC family possibly part of the coaching staff but most importantly continuing to be healthy and bettering myself as an athlete.

Share a recipe for a favorite clean meal.
Burger in a bowl from sesame I.e. Friday night family dinner

What is your favorite cheat meal?
Pizza and Beer

What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?
Any workouts with overhead squats.
Also looking at a Workout and under estimating it

What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?

Leave your ego at the door, mobility mobility mobility will lead to moving efficiently, and most of all just “trust the process”

What is your personal “walkout song” or anthem?

2 partner team (350/300)

-1 partner works at a time/Others Rest
-Max calories of 30/20 per interval (can be less before switching)
