Congratulations to our August Athlete of the Month, "New Jen" Steadham. Jen has been a consistent member of the 4pm class for the past two years and we truly enjoy her dedication and willingness to keep trying new things and show up with a smile, no matter the workout, everyday.

What makes you, you? super aggressive first question! I'm a little slow to warm up, but then friendly & will quickly prove to be a goof… and my favorite talking points can be broadly categorized as food & drinks, news, dogs, & Seminole football.

Describe your experience at CFNC. what a great group! the care & attention put into programming is obvious. it felt like a true community from the day I joined.

What are your major life goals? education, strength, & comfort

What are your 3 major CrossFit goals? Stringing together DUs, pull-ups, & finding the perfect grips!

What has been your favorite CrossFit so far? the first time I surprised myself with toes to bar

What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why? they're all my favorite…at the end

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? with a larger kitchen & a grassier backyard. otherwise, I'm hoping not much will have changed; life is good!

Share a recipe for a favorite clean meal. I love tossing together noodle knock-offs (spaghetti squash or zoodles) with ground meat & chopped veggies.

What is your favorite cheat meal? burgers! Sesame & Five Guys especially

What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit? the mental push

What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit? it's always gonna suck, but probs not as much as you expect
