Congratulations to our July Athlete of the Month, Tabitha Golder! Tabitha has been a member at CFNC since wayyyyy back when we were in our old location. No matter how hot or hard the workout, she always works hard and finds a way to smile. Thanks for being a great member, Tabitha!

What makes you, you?
Well, through life experiences I have learned “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” This mentality has made me into the person I am today. I like to think of myself as a kind person who cares about others and their well-being.

Describe your experience at CFNC.
My experience at CFNC has been amazing. I enjoy the people and the workouts.

What are your major life goals?
Enjoying life to the fullest.

What are your 3 major CrossFit goals?
Goals: Stringing together DUs, pull ups, overall technique

What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?
I can’t say I have one particular moment but an overall experience. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone and working out with a variety of people. I love the encouragement everyone shows each other (it is contagious).

What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?
I would have to say all the partner WODs are my favorite because they push me to work harder.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Living the dream.

Share a recipe for a favorite clean meal.
I love eating baked chicken thighs with crispy brussel sprouts.
(Marinate the chicken thighs (30 min.) in olive oil, fresh lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, fresh garlic, sea salt, dried thyme, red pepper flakes, and pepper. Cook: 20 min on each side at 425 degrees.)

What is your favorite cheat meal?
A delicious melt in your mouth gnocchi dish with red sauce. Yum!

What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?
Pushing yourself mentally.

What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?
Just keep coming back.
