Congrats to our March Athlete of the Month: Sarah MicNichol!!! This athlete has shown tremendous strides in gaining new skills and overall fitness! She is a mainstay at the am classes and can be seen usually finishing the workout before Orlando! Get to know more about her below:

What makes you, you?

Always working on becoming the best version of myself. 

 Describe your experience at CFNC.

My experience has been one of growth, mastering new skills, taking on new challenges and pushing me to be better  physically and mentally. 

 What are your major life goals?

Have deep meaningful relationships. 

Give back to the community. 

Be stronger, fitter, and healthier.

 What are your 3 major CrossFit goals?

Double unders – unbroken and in one spot 

Bar muscle ups

Butterfly pull-ups

 What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?

My favorite moments happen all the time, partner workouts with Claudia and after class workouts with Callie and Liam. 

 What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?

Any workout that I beat Orlando at. Being able to get the win from Orlando is always a great workout. 


Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Isabella will be off to College. My husband will be finishing up his Air Force career and I will be traveling the world gaining experience in international medicine and global health. 


Share a recipe for a favorite clean meal.

Cooking is not my specialty so I usually keep it simple. 

Baked Chicken, rice and steamed broccoli 

Rub chicken with a little olive oil season with pepper, oregano, thyme. Bake 375 for 20 minutes.

Steam broccoli for 4-6 minutes on the stove and serve with rice. 

 What is your favorite cheat meal?

Mint chocolate chip ice cream, not a meal but my favorite. 

 What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?

Being patient with the process. 

 What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?

Show up, put in the work and the results will follow. 

 What is your personal ‘walkout song’ or anthem?

The Wheel- The Grateful Dead
