Congrats to Alexa for being our January 2021 Athlete of the Month!! It has been awesome to watch her grow as an athlete here at CFNC!

Learn more about her Below:

What makes you, you?

Being hard working and determined to be the best person I can be! You can also find me reading a book any chance I can get.

Describe your experience at CFNC.

It’s been amazing and seeing how far I can push myself with every workout has been awesome. I’ve met the most incredible people that are supportive in the gym and outside the gym. It’s a great stress relief as well from my high stress job. I look forward to coming here on my days off.

What are your major life goals?

Start a family, go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner.

What are your 3 major CrossFit goals?

Finally do a pull up (haha), get consistent DU, become stronger in general.

What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?

I can’t think of a single moment but it’s those moments when I think I won’t be able to do something then go out and do it has been pretty cool. I also enjoy working out with my dad, wouldn’t trade that for the world. (Love ya dad!)

What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?

Anything with squats or deadlifts. Those are my favorite!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully done with NP school and working on new fitness goals to crush.

Share a recipe for a favorite clean meal.

Chicken breast with brussel sprouts and broccoli.

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Chickfila or anything with chocolate.

What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?

Probably the mental aspect. Have to push past that and just go for it. Also pacing yourself.

What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?

Just show up! That’s the hardest part because it can be intimidating. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and utilize the coaches!

What is your personal ‘walkout song’ or anthem?

Fat Bottomed Girls – Queen
